Scope of Service

The registration is required prior to the importation or exportation of goods subject to licensing control for Individual Company or Company.

Application Eligibility

According to the provisions of Law n.° 7/2003, amended by Law n.° 3/2016 – “Foreign Trade Law”, natural or legal persons who have fulfilled their tax obligations, especially business tax and consumption tax in the Macao Special Administrative Region, may conduct foreign trade activity.

Result of Approval for Application

Being registered as a Controlled Foreign Trade Operator, the applicant would be able to apply for license, as well as cancel/amend relevant information upon request.

FAQs

How to apply for amendment/cancellation of registration information?

To amend/cancel a registration, submit a duly completed Registration Form for Controlled External Trade Operations. To amend registration information, the corresponding supporting document(s) is/are required.
How to make an application if there is no specimen of signature on the identity document?

If there is no specimen of signature on the identity document, you may provide a declaration on specimen of signature. Inquire the DSEDT for the relevant requirements and templates.

The abovementioned declaration is not required if the registration application is made simultaneously with the application for electronic customs declaration service platform user registration, and an electronic signature certificate issued by the Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau is used.
