About the Centre

The Macao International Technology Industry Centre is established by the Economic and Technological Development Bureau and the Science and Technology Development Fund, and is operated by the Macao Institute of Industrial Technology. The Centre aims to achieve national strategic goals, integrating into the international technology and innovation development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It serves as a proving ground for the Sci-Tech Park and policy experimentation. Focusing on four major industries—biomedicine, integrated circuits, digital technology, and aerospace technology—the Centre acts as a gateway for premier Mainland technology enterprises to expand globally, while providing landing support for overseas projects in Macao.

To comprehensively empower enterprise growth, the Centre has established four major service platforms: Technology Industry Application, Innovation Talent Service, Offshore Innovation Service, and Technology Industry Development. Through these platforms, the Centre aims to attract Mainland and overseas high-tech enterprises, high-end talents, and venture capital to Macao, fostering the extension and upgrading of the technology value chain. By building a complete “Research–Incubation–Transformation–Service” ecosystem, the Centre drives synergistic development between the innovation platforms of Macao, the Greater Bay Area, and Portuguese-speaking regions, ushering in a new phase of development for Macao’s R&D sector and promoting the appropriate diversification of Macao's economy.
