Starting as a snack stall on Rua da Barca, Estabelecimento de Comidas Tai Pan Keng Tou has remained consistent on the road of Japanese cuisine. The owner, who had not been satisfied with offering only Osakayaki and Takoyaki, the dishes on which the stall was built up, travelled to Japan to learn culinary skills from masters and brought back classic izakaya dishes like Gyutan (Grilled Ox Tongue), Gyoza (Japanese dumplings) with Wings and Skewers Platter to Macao’s streets. Beef Tartare and Osakayaki with Pollock Roe are the owner’s explorations between convention and innovation. Traditional preparation methods and new flavours bring surprises like a cross-spacetime encounter. Food and drinks are half-priced from 10:30 every night, and that’s the time when the restaurant goes bustling.
