Restaurante Cozinha Pinocchio was established in 1977 by its Macanese owner, who has a born passion in gourmet and cooking. With the excellent cooking skills learnt from his three home cooks since childhood and the enthusiasm in trying new dishes, the owner, a former marine police officer, founded the restaurant at the age of 22 to fulfil his aspiration for cooking and eating. Despite the restaurant has grown to the current size from a dai pai tong that only had ten cups, the owner has never forgotten his original motives. Authentic Macanese flavour is served to diners in a classic Portuguese-style building that has over 40 years of history. As people’s awareness of health increases over time, Restaurante Cozinha Pinocchio has adjusted its cooking accordingly. Innovation and nostalgia is fully blended here. Dishes such as Stir-Fried Crab Curry and Bacalhau Balls are the earliest memories of Macanese cuisine for a generation of people in Macao.
