The exchanges and cooperation relationship between Fujian and Macao have been further developed and strengthened, and gradually develop into multi-fields and deeper levels. In the mechanism of Fujian-Macao high-level meeting and Fujian-Macao Economic Cooperation Promotion Committee, the economic and trade cooperation between Fujian and Macao has been further promoted. On November 18, 2014, the People’s Government of Fujian Province and Macao Special Administrative Region Government signed the “Memorandum on Strengthening Cooperation between Fujian and Macao”, mainly related to jointly expand markets in the Portuguese-speaking countries, strengthen cooperation on convention and exhibition, promote cultural exchanges and other areas.
